Well, the 2010 hockey season is nearing a close and I have been way behind in posting photos and videos here. We have had an exciting and busy hockey season with Max playing for the Gardiner White team (Mites) and Alex playing for the Gardiner PeeWee team. Both have done very well this year, including several wins in tournament play. I will try to get some highlights posted here ASAP, starting with Max’s first goal of the season. This goal came in the first period of the first game of the Midcoast Classic in Rockport against a perennially tough Casco Bay team. Check out this top shelf shot from the slot!
Here is a shot of Alex in net, turning aside a breakaway shot in his first game against the Casco Bay flyers. Gardiner went on to win 6-0!
Alex scores a goal in the third tournament game against the Midcoast Storm. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough and Gardiner lost 3-1.
Alex has another close call and then gets tripped by the goalie. This was a recurring theme with this team. Their goalie tripped anyone that got near him and he never got called for it.
Alex has another close shot on goal. He had 3 or 4 legitimate s.o.g. besides the one that went in. It was a really solid effort by Alex.
Alex protects his goalie at the and of this clip.
Alex delivers a nice check right after the face off:
Here is another blatant trip by the goalie on one of Alex’s teammate:
