Alex has been enjoying his hockey season so far. He has been primarily a defensemen, but recently has had the opportunity to share goalie duties with one of his teammates.

On Sunday, December 21, Alex got his first shut out as a goalie!!!

UPDATE: ALEX GET’S HIS FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON!!!! - Late in the third period of the Gardiner vs. Bangor Red, Alex got his first goal of the season. In a rare opportunity, the coach decided to have Alex skate up as a forward for the tournament (rather than defenseman or goalie). In this video, he is playing at the right wing. His first shot got stopped by the (very good) goalie, but he followed up and stuffed in the rebound. This video doesn’t show it, but he almost got another goal off the next face off. Gardiner won this game 6-1, and although the score doesn’t show it, the Bangor goalie was outstanding. We actually had a number of really solid opportunities to score that he stopped.
